ac.lk domain registry service

LEARN as the authorized domain registrar of ac.lk helps national research & education institutions of Sri Lanka to create their own unique identity of the Internet by registering their .ac.lk domains. LEARN manages the primary DNS servers of ac.lk maintaining today's DNS security standards. LEARN member institutions either get their subdomains hosted at LEARN or get them delegated to their own DNS servers.

LEARN Network provides redundant international connectivity through multiple operators. At present, our IP transits include a 10 Gbps commodity Internet, through Dialog, and a 4Gbps link to the commodity Internet, through Sri Lanka Telecom, and a 1Gbps link to the academic/research Internet through the TEIN4 network.

Connectivity to the international academic networks (Internet2, NEA3R, NORDUnet, CANARIE, Qata, SINET, GEANT, TWAREN, ANKABUT, IN2P3, OFELIA, etc) through NKN, SOE and TEIN

DNS hosting, EMAIL relaying/spam filtering, Network access controls and Global Google Caching (GGC)
