LEARN Internship Opportunity for Undergraduates (two positions)
Lanka Education and Research Network (LEARN) is the National Research and Education Network (NREN) of Sri Lanka. We interconnect universities, other higher education institutes and research institutes in Sri Lanka, and provide networking related services to them. Applications are hereby invited from the relevant undergraduates of LEARN member institutions for their internship of their industrial training.i
LEARN has identified two internship opportunities for the support of performing tasks mentioned below.
Qualifications:
Affiliate in a LEARN member institution
About to complete Computer Engineer or Computer Science or Information Technology or relevant degree program with data networking and software engineering as a core subjects.
Prefer to work on Linux environment
Tasks:
1. Implementation of free open source Network Monitoring System to generate a weekly/monthly NOC report
2. Support to developing new LEARN network alerts and notification system to replace the existing system.
3. Deployment of InSys network automation platform at LEARN
4. Checking of Eduroam configurations in corporation with LEARN member institutions
5. Expanding IPv6 network
